Description
An immaculate hand painted twin oriental magpie barrel bead that’s made using the traditional Chinese Inside Painting technique. To paint the inside of the bead, the artist must paint backwards using an extremely fine paintbrush. Concentration is crucial to make precise strokes due to the limited space.
Each bead features two magpies and surrounding flora in full bloom (see photo 1, 2). In Chinese symbolism, magpies are seen as an omen of good fortune and good luck.
